Terms

A directory where Barbadian tradespeople show their work, prices and reviews, and where clients can find them or post a job. We introduce you to each other. That is all we do.

We are not part of any agreement between a client and an artisan. We do not employ artisans, set their prices, hold payments for work, or guarantee the work. The quote, the job and the money are between the two of you. We take no commission.

Give your real name and keep your details current. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law stops us.

Verified means we checked the artisan’s licence or identity document. Work verified means at least three different customers who contacted them through this site reviewed them. Neither is a guarantee of a particular job. Check that anyone you hire holds the licence and insurance the work needs.

Everything on your storefront must be true and yours. Photos and reels must show work you did, and you must have the right to post them, including permission from anyone who can be recognised in them. Prices you publish are indicative; confirm the real price with each client before work begins. Hold any licence the law requires for the work you offer.

You keep the rights to what you upload. You let us show it on Artisan Connect and in links shared from it, for as long as it is on your storefront.

Describe a real job you want done. Do not post anyone else’s details or address. When you accept an artisan, they see your first name, your number and the full job, and may call or message you about it. You can post three jobs a day and have five open at once.

Review only work you had done, in your own words. No reviewing yourself, a competitor, or anyone in return for payment or a discount. A review is marked as from a verified customer when it is backed by contact made through this site at least a day before. We may hold back or remove a review that breaks these rules, and an artisan may reply to any review once.

The storefront is free. First Look and Front Row are passes of 30 days, priced in Barbados dollars on the pricing page and paid by card through Fygaro. A pass does not renew on its own; buying again adds 30 days to the time you have left.

A pass buys earlier and fuller sight of job requests, more reels, and for Front Row a labelled place at the top of matching searches. It does not buy a number of jobs, a rating, verification, or the order of reviews.

A pass is not refundable once it has started, except where the law requires it or where a fault on our side kept it from working. Write to hello@artisanconnect-bb.com if that happens.

• False, misleading or copied listings, photos or reels.
• Harassment, threats, hateful or sexual content.
• Using contact details from this site for anything but the job in question.
• Scraping the directory, or trying to get around its limits or security.
• Anything against the laws of Barbados.

Anyone can report a listing, review or reel with the Report link beside it. We look at every report and may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these terms. If we remove something of yours, we will tell you why.

We work to keep the site accurate and running, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will never be wrong or unavailable. We are not responsible for work an artisan does or does not do, or for anything agreed between a client and an artisan. Where the law allows, what we owe you for anything to do with the site is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before. Nothing here limits rights the law does not let us limit.

When these terms change, the date at the top changes too, and for a change that affects what you can do or what you pay we will email you before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of Barbados, and the courts of Barbados decide any dispute about them. Questions to hello@artisanconnect-bb.com.
